Disruption Communications Workshop 2024
This November, we were thrilled to welcome over 30 senior airline professionals from more than 20 airlines to Istanbul for our annual 15below Disruption Communications Workshop. Across two days, the free workshop provided a unique opportunity to tackle shared challenges, explore innovative solutions, and strengthen our collective approach to disruption management.


Disruption communication and service recovery
From the opening keynote on The true impact of technology on brand loyalty delivered by our CEO, Nicholas Key, to interactive sessions on crafting disruption communications plans, the agenda was packed with valuable sessions delivering practical takeaways for attendees. Airlines worked together on roundtable discussions to define the core elements of an effective communications strategy and participated in scenario-based exercises to learn how to create and apply their own disruption communications plans.
British Airways shared a compelling case study on the impact of automation on disruption recovery, while panel discussions and presentations from Amadeus, iCoupon, and others highlighted how technology can revolutionise service recovery. There was also a powerful case study from Ryanair which showcased how automation, combined with iCoupon and 15below solutions, has streamlined refreshment voucher distribution during disruptions.
Evening entertainment
Networking has always been central to 15below events, giving attendees time to connect, share ideas, and build relationships. In Istanbul, this was no different. A highlight was the evening boat trip along the Bosphorus Strait, where conversations flowed before dinner and drinks. These informal moments were as valuable as the structured sessions, helping industry leaders exchange experiences and work together on shared challenges.

By exchanging knowledge and fostering collaboration, we’re collectively driving innovation and ensuring a smoother journey for passengers around the globe.
